It was Dr Moreton’s pleasure to collaborate on this article that has now been published in the July edition of the Australian Journal of Emergency Management (AJEM). Louise Mitchell (DHHS) primarily wrote this article, supported by Dr Moreton and Mark Stratton (State Recovery Office, SA). The article describes the process and outcomes of the review of the National Principles. Dr Moreton conducted some community consultations that reviewed the ‘Community led approaches’ principle. It was very satisfying to involve affected communities in the discussion of what community led might actually mean. The next challenge is about how to achieve it.
