Dr Moreton has been appointed by Minister Mick Gentleman, and therefore joins the ACT Bushfire Council for a period of 3 years (2017-2020). She joins a strong and capable Council providing advice to the Minister for Police and Emergency Services. This appointment provides Dr Moreton with an opportunity to provide advice and contribution to ensure the preparedness and strength of the ACT community before and after the coming fire season.
